A million miles from anywhere, yet only 20 minutes from the Adelaide CBD. 😳✨

Standing in that moment with Shae and Shane felt like the rest of the world just melted away. As their celebrant, there is nothing quite like witnessing a crowd of loved ones completely locked into the moment. Their intimate Wedfest at The Old Woodhouse Manor was absolute perfection! 🌲🤍

It was incredibly important to S + S that their ceremony felt fully inclusive. Shae’s brother played the aisle song live, all their beautiful little people were involved, and family and friends stayed onsite together to keep the celebrations going (The Old Manor sleeps up to 60!) 🎶🏡

Being the one to marry these two absolute gems was an incredible honour.

Congratulations, Shae and Shane! 🥂

While the “aisle reveal” is a beautiful tradition, I’ve seen firsthand how a First Look can transform the energy of the entire day ✨.

As a celebrant, my focus is always on making your ceremony feel as present and connected as possible.

So here’s why you might want to consider one:

• To scale back the “ceremony nerves”: The pressure of seeing each other for the first time in front of 100 people can be overwhelming. A private moment beforehand acts like a “deep breath,” letting you release those nerves so you can be fully present and grounded when you actually say your vows.
• Privacy for the “Ugly Cry”: If you’re worried about sobbing in front of a crowd, a first look lets you get those raw emotions out in private. You can hug, cry, and talk to each other freely…plus, there’s plenty of time for a makeup touch-up before the ceremony.
• You Actually Get to Hang Out: Believe it or not, couples often spend very little time alone on their wedding day. A first look guarantees 20–30 minutes of intimate, “just us” time to soak in the fact that you’re finally getting married.
• More Time for the PARTAY with your people: By doing your portraits and bridal party photos before the ceremony, you don’t have to disappear during cocktail hour. You can head straight from your “I dos” to a glass of bubbles with your favourite people.

The Best Version of the “Aisle Moment”: Contrary to popular belief, a first look doesn’t “ruin” the aisle walk. In fact, it often makes it more meaningful because the initial shock is gone, and you can focus entirely on the words being said.

Of course I’m all about options and there’s no right or wrong way to do it- just the way that feels most like you! ❤️

Happy Mother’s Day to all the mummas here with us, and to those who now have their angel wings, living on in our hearts and most precious memories ❤️

The older I get, the more I realise just how incredibly amazing my mum and grandmother are. The unending love and support they’ve never failed to show us, the sacrifices they’ve made, and the way they’ve given every part of themselves- it’s something I carry with me every day, especially in my own parenting.

This is our first Mother’s Day without our beautiful grandmother, so my heart feels a little heavier and goes out even more to anyone who is grieving today. While I’m so grateful and excited to spend time with my amazing mum, I’m also thinking of all of you who are missing your mum or grandmother deeply today ❤️.

You all inspire me mummas! ❤️

🎬 Forget ghosts and psychos —if you want to see this pro celebrant truly terrified, show me one of these:

1. The Copy-Paste Dry AF Delivery 🥱
A ceremony so boring it could put a caffeinated squirrel to sleep. No personality, no “you,” just a generic script from 1985 that has everyone only thinking about that cold beer.

2. The Performance of Tradition 🎭
Doing things just because you think you should feels totally fake. If you don’t like it, don’t do it. Authenticity is the only way to kill this monster.

3. The Surface-Level Slasher 💄
Focusing 100% on the aesthetics and 0% on the vibes. If it looks like a million bucks but feels like a cold waiting room, we’ve got a problem.

4. The Timeline Terrorist ⏳
A super late start that creates a domino effect of chaos. Nothing kills the vibe faster than guests waiting an hour in the sun while the schedule goes up in flames.

5. The Sun-Drenched Massacre ☀️
No shade on a 35-degree day. Watching your guests (and your celebrant) slowly melt into the pavement is a plot twist nobody asked for.

Maximum efficiency, minimum stress: You get photos with your entire crew in under 30 minutes, leaving more time for the party 🥂!

A quick-succession couch photoshoot isn’t just a trend—it’s a massive time-saver that keeps your post ceremony energy high!

• Guaranteed quality time: It ensures you get a dedicated moment with every one of your favorite people without them feeling like they’re “stuck” in a long photo line.

• Natural, comfortable poses: Couches provide a natural place to sit and lean, making the photos look effortless and elevated rather than stiff or forced.

• High-energy energy vibes: The fast-paced, “chaotic” nature of a succession shoot creates fun, candid expressions that traditional portraits often miss.

• Editorial aesthetic: It mimics the “portrait lounge” style seen at celebrity events, giving your wedding photos a sophisticated, red-carpet feel.

• No “missing” people: By doing it right after the ceremony, you capture your key people while everyone is still gathered and looking their absolute best.

You’re welcome ☺️

1. Find a celebrant you click with and who matches your vibe. Who gets you.
2. Book them before someone else does.
3. Try to ignore all ‘well meaning’ but unsolicited advice from friends and family.
4. Instead, chat about what’s important to you and what you give a shit about. Deep down you know what you want. Back yourself.
5. And then, build your ceremony around those things. Leave the rest.
6. Soak up and relish in the epic vibes you’ve created with your fun loving celebrant. Simples ✨

Job done 🥂
